Bio

Kristen McCoy is a writer, actor, encourager and lover of the moon and night sky. She has a raw and passionate collection of original poetry on http://kristenbethsthoughts.blogspot.com/. Including some of her well known poems, Curious Girl, Regret, and He loves Me Not. Kristen is not only passionate about self-expression through writing, but through acting as well. As a teen, Kristen studied acting through a local talent agency in Lexington, Kentucky, where she also walked the runway for 17 Magazine’s Rock Your Prom fashion show event, as well as various bridal shows for local designers. Her first TV appearance was in a regional commercial for Posh Salon and Spa in Lexington, where she was featured doing a dramatic hair flip for the camera. This commercial was aired regionally during the Super Bowl in 2005. Upon moving to Nashville, Tennessee in 2012, Kristen signed with agent Lisa Lax and enrolled in The Actor’s School in Franklin, Tennessee. She has since had multiple featured spots on ABC/CMT’s Nashville, she was featured in a national Chico’s Clothing campaign, and most recently stared in a Toyota RAV4 SAG commercial. For Kristen, it’s not about the spotlight, but about outlets of self-expression and stretching herself as a person. Nature, hikes, camping, the magical night sky...Kristen loves it all. Being active is still in her blood having been an award winning competitive and performance gymnast for over seven years. Kristen gains a lot of her inspiration in nature. Random facts about Kristen: She encourages by nature, connects to children, is a lover of animals, a major foodie, her soul is drawn to fashion, art, music, modeling, politics, writing, poetry, and entertainment. Almost more than anything in the world, she loves to laugh and hug. She has a love affair with the moon and a crush on the night sky, but her number One is God! First, foremost, always! 1 Corinthians 13:13

True Love's Fate

"Just to be close to you," She whispers to him in the midnight air,
"I'd give up everything. I'd travel anywhere.
To be close to you forever and never wonder where you are,
I'd go to the ends of the earth and sleep among the stars."
"Just to be close to me," He softly whispers back...
"You'd give up everything? You'd do anything I asked?"
"Yes, I'd give up everything and do anything you asked."
He paused for a moment, oh so deep in thought...
"Let's take the dare of true love's fate.
Let's turn around and walk away.
We'll live our lives as though our paths never crossed.
As though we are unaware of the love we've lost.
If our roads once again intertwine,
I will be forever yours and you forever mine."
So without a thought and without a care,
they tested their love through this fateful dare.
They turned around and walked away,
hoping to return to the arms of one another someday.

He loves me not

she waits at the gate
he seems to be late
each moment feeling like an hour
she holds a single flower
"he loves me, he loves me not," are the words stirring in her head
"will he be the one i choose to wed?"
her patience grow thin as her thoughts grow louder
another moment passes, still feeling like an hour
her excitement it seems she can no longer contain
until she feels the first heavy drop of rain
the clouds begin to cover the sun
minutes pass one by one

the sky grows dark and the rain pours down

her once giddy smile turns into a frown

"this evening did not turn out the way I thought"

she pulls the last two petals...

"he loves me, he loves me not."

rainy days
how they make me laze
as i curl up under the covers
i wait to hear another...
another drop of rain, on the window pane
i hear the sound--of each drop pouring down
my heart feels peace and content
as my time is spent
hearing the beautiful sound--of music all around

rainy days

take me to another place

where my world is still

how i long to feel--the peace of rainy days,

every day of the year
